September is a very important month in the Christos calendar. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and we are proud to support The Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children suffering from hair loss, including children fighting cancer.
In August we had the pleasure of meeting Millie Tyerman. Millie is a junior Trustee for The Henry Allen Trust, a local childhood cancer charity, and she had grown her hair in order to have it cut off to raise money for this wonderful charity. It was Millie’s wish that the hair then went to The Little Princess Trust so that it could be made into wigs for children like Henry who had lost their hair due to the harsh cancer treatments.
Team Henry invited us along to their annual fun day to cut and collect Millie’s hair. The temperatures were soaring and the strong breeze (as well as Stormtrooper onlookers) made it an interesting haircut, but we did it, The Little Princess Trust has received another collection of beautiful hair and Mille raised over £300 for The Henry Allen Trust.
Thank you to the wonderful UK Garrison for taking this picture of us.
